The gal that inspired this song is now a freshman at university. It was right around the time of her birth that I was hanging out with my good pal and his wife at their home situated next to a tributary of the Methow river. Some sadistic psychopath had arranged a circle of largish rocks in the shallow, calmly flowing waters as a sort of obstacle course. I wasn't completely sober when my good buddy insisted I attempt to bound from stone to stone as an exercise in balance and concentration. I am happy to report that, regardless, I achieved the challenge and wrote this song as a result. Enjoy.
